Course Description:
This study focuses on the responsibilities of people in a global society. It explores building community and taking action to create a kinder world. Student will seek out, research, and participate in volunteer activities and fund-raising for local and global causes

Participating in candlelight peace vigils
Volunteering as a violinist weekly at my church
Playing Piano for patients and visitors at Mercy Hospital
Playing violin for Iowa City Home School Assistance Program
Collecting, packaging and mailing ink cartridges to be recycled to raise money for projects
Attending political rallies
Using my photographs to create a line of note cards to raise money for humanitarian projects
Playing violin for Martin Luther King Day Program
Participating in benefit concert for The Smile Train, to provide surgeries to correct cleft palate
Preparing breakfast for 24 homeless persons
Mentoring 5 young musicians
